Sandbox

The sandbox is your playground for building and testing an integration — see Environments for its base URL and how it differs from production on the wire. This page is about what to actually expect from it day to day.

What's in the sandbox​

  • Dummy account types — generate synthetic transactions and reports, and deliberately trigger error/warning states, without connecting to a real PSP.
  • Sandbox/test accounts for PSPs that offer one — connect to the PSP's own sandbox instead of a live merchant account.

What to expect​

  • Treat it as a playground, not a staging environment. PayData also uses the sandbox to test new releases and features before they reach production, so its behavior, stability, and availability can change or be affected without notice.
  • Data can be deleted without notice. Don't rely on sandbox accounts, transactions, or reports staying around — recreate what you need for a test run rather than treating anything here as durable.
  • Lower rate limits apply than in production.
